Program Director and Volunteer Coordinator
For more than a decade, Fajr has been working in the fields of resident care and program direction. Before becoming a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, she received her Bachelor’s in Health Sciences from South University and Master’s in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. She earned credentialing in CPR/first aid, and as a Dual-Certified Child Life Specialist and Intellectual Disabilities and Dementia partner through the Greater Richmond Chapter − Alzheimer’s Association. She also participated in the Assisted Living Facilities Administrator-in-Training program. The Bon Air Juvenile Corrections Center publicly recognized her ability and workplace manner through the Work Culture Environmental Change Maker Imitative Award. Today, as the Saint Francis Program Director and Volunteer Coordinator, Fajr strives to unleash creativity and enrich lives through innovative programs, stimulating activities, and community connections that unite diverse people so each feels included and valued. Women’s competitive flag football and “sleeping in” are her two favorite after-hours pastimes!
